Dr. Kenneth P. Moritsugu, U.S. Deputy Surgeon General, was a Luncheon keynote speaker at the 2003 ADTSEA Conference in Charlotte. Dr. Moritsugu provided an inspiring presentation about his own personal attachment and commitment to organ and tissue donation, and then announced that the US Department of Health and Human Services, under the direction of Secretary Tommy Thompson, is developing a national Organ and Tissue Donation Curriculum that will be sent out to all high schools in the very near future. He then introduced several individuals (two Miss America Contestants) who spoke about Organ and Tissue Donation.
