2010 Annual Teen Leadership Conference - "Show me SAFE-T"

The NSSP Annual Teen Leadership Conference brings together student delegates from across the nation. ADTSEA, through the office of the Chief Executive Officer, reserves the right to close conference registration when the quota for attendance has been reached. A student must be currently enrolled in a high school or college program to be qualified as a conference delegate.

St. Louis is known as the “Gateway to the West” because of the role it played in the westward expansion of the U.S. The city has as estimated population of 355,000 and is called “North America’s Best Sports City,” as it is home to the St. Louis Cardinals (baseball), St. Louis Rams (football) and St. Louis Blues (hockey). Located on the bank of the Mississippi River, the city today boasts of its melting pot of cultures, music (blues, ragtime, jazz) and theatre. What’s there to do in St. Louis? Tons! Ride to the top of the Gateway Arch that towers 630’ over the Mississippi . . . visit historic attractions and the ancient Indian civilization at Cahokia Mounds . . . explore Forest Park’s lakes, paths and attractions, which include the Zoological Park--the most visited zoo in the U.S-- and its Insectarium and Prairie Village, Science Center, Art Museum and History Museum or the Missouri Botanical Garden--one of the world’s top public gardens. Registration

Attending the three-day conference is only $175—which includes two meals a day and the Awards Banquet. (Hotel lodging is not included). Download the registration forms , the NSSP Student Handbook  and the NSSP Awards Program information . Register early! The deadline is June 1st.

Call for Workshops

NSSP showcases students and their projects that aim at safety. These include highway safety topics (seat belts, pedestrian, bicycles, impaired driving, distracted driving, speeding, graduated driver’s licensing, etc.) and peer prevention topics (suicide, pregnancies, HIV, drug/alcohol use, eating disorders, conflict resolution, etc.) It is highly desirable that the presentations be interactive on successful projects and activities Presenters must be students. The deadline to submit workshop proposals to ADTSEA is January 31st. Learn more

ADTSEA

Established by the National Education Association in 1956, NSSP has proven to be successful to thousands of teen leaders and helped to empower them to make changes in their schools and communities. These thousands of teen leaders have touched millions of lives over the past 53 years. NSSP is student driven and student led. Today NSSP is housed as the youth program of the American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association (ADTSEA), a non-profit organization. For more information, contact ADTSEA .
